The car radiator is a heat exchange device that exchanges heat between the car engine coolant and the air. The radiator dissipates the heat of the engine coolant through convection heat exchange with the air to realize the cooling of the engine. In an oscillating flow heat pipe automobile radiator, heat is dissipated through forced convection heat exchange with the air through the radiating section of the oscillating flow heat pipe. In order to enhance the heat transfer performance between the oscillating flow heat pipe and the air, the use of external fins on the heat pipe can effectively increase the heat exchange area and increase the turbulence, thereby enhancing the heat exchange effect. The structure diagram of the oscillating flow heat pipe automobile radiator, and its external dimensions are consistent with the tube-belt copper automobile radiator used in the experiment, which is convenient for comparative analysis. In the experiment process, experiments were carried out on the tube-belt copper car radiator and the oscillating flow heat pipe car radiator respectively.
During the experiment, the radiator was placed in the middle section of the air duct, and different incoming wind speeds were realized through the air duct to simulate the heat exchange between the car radiator and the air while traveling; hot water was used as the heating working medium at the heating end. In the experiment, the air side pressure, temperature and speed are measured, and in the experimental study of the heat transfer performance of the oscillating flow heat pipe automobile radiator, the measurement points at the A and B sections are shown in the layout of the nine points uniformly arranged in the air duct. Take the average value as the final measurement result; the pressure, temperature and flow measuring point arrangement of the water side of the oscillating flow heat pipe radiator; the measuring point arrangement of the tube-belt copper car radiator. Test equipment used in the experiment. The solid line is the tube-belt copper car radiator, and the dashed line is the oscillating flow heat pipe car radiator. It can be seen from the figure that the heat dissipation of the two radiators increases with the increase of wind speed. Obviously, this is because the higher the wind speed, the greater the surface forced convection heat transfer coefficient, so under the same other conditions The greater the heat exchange. It can also be seen that under the same wind speed, the greater the water flow, the greater the heat dissipation. Moreover, the heat dissipation of the oscillating flow heat pipe car radiator is larger than that of the tube-belt copper car radiator under the same experimental conditions, and the increase rate can reach up to 26.5%.
