Why is powder coating used on the surface of industrial aluminum

• 1. The process is relatively simple, mainly due to the improvement of the automatic precision of the main equipment in the production process. Some major technical parameters can be controlled by microcomputers, which effectively reduces the difficulty of process operation and greatly reduces the number of auxiliary equipment;

• 3. Energy consumption is significantly reduced. In the production process of ordinary anodizing,chemical etching and electrophoretic coating, the consumption of water and electricity is quite large, especially in the oxidation process. The output current of the rectifier can reach between 8000 and 11000A, and the voltage is between 15 and 17.5V. In addition to the heat consumption of the machine itself, it needs to be cooled by circulating water continuously. The power consumption per ton is often around 1000 degrees. At the same time, the reduction of auxiliary facilities can also reduce some power consumption;

Caustic soda, sulfuric acid and other liquid organic solvents are no longer used, which reduces water and air pollution, effectively improves the competitiveness of aluminum profiles and plastic steel profiles as environmentally friendly products, and correspondingly reduces some production costs;
• 5. The labor intensity of workers is significantly reduced. Due to the use of automated assembly line operations, the feeding method and the use of fixtures have been significantly simplified, which improves production efficiency and reduces labor intensity;
• 6. The surface quality requirements for the rough material are significantly reduced. The powder coating can completely cover the extrusion lines on the profile surface, cover up some of the defects on the aluminum profile surface, and improve the surface quality of the finished aluminum profile;
• 7. Some physical indicators of the coating are significantly improved compared with other surface treatment films, such as hardness and wear resistance, which can effectively extend the service life of aluminum profiles.

Powder spraying uses powder coatings, and the process uses electrostatic spraying. The friction spray gun uses the effect of accelerated wind to make the powder particles carry positive charges when they are sprayed out of the gun body, and contact with the negatively charged profiles to generate electrostatic adsorption, and then solidify at high temperature. It also enhances the adsorption strength of the paint and prevents the paint film from falling off.

From the perspective of the process itself, it has a very high technological content, and the mixing of different colored paints produces decorative effects of different colors, which is more in line with the needs of interior decoration and is consistent with the trend of the application of aluminum profiles in the construction industry to develop indoors. In particular, the combined use of spray profiles and thermal insulation bridges makes it more fashionable, giving powder spray profiles a larger development space, which is also irreplaceable by profiles produced by other processing methods.
