Who invented thread?
At first, I thought it was bound to be an unsolved mystery. Just like “who invented chopsticks”, it is the collective wisdom of countless people who eat melons. However, after a bit of searching on the Internet, there are some interesting stories about thread. Food is the primary productive force. Like many great things in the world, the original thread was about eating and drinking. The ancient Greek mathematician Architas is credited with inventing threads from wood to press olive oil and grape juice between 428 and 350 BC.
Over 300 BC, the ancient Greek mathematician Archimedes used the thread to draw water, a wooden thread device to lift water from low to high.
The first metal threads did not appear in Europe until the mid-15th century, and by the 16th century they had become widely used in gunmaking. The grooves allowed the parts to fit tightly together to avoid vibration during musket firing. Then there was the conversion, the same story as now.
Write here, suddenly discover these are the story of crooked nuts, unavoidable let me have a little chagrin. Our great ancestors invented the “Four Great Inventions”, but why didn’t they invent thread?
